And once more, its been forever since I've blogged. Gosh.
New month, new job, new chair ( haha) and attempting to fit my social life in. Actually life's been pretty alright! haha. So started my internship at Mediacorp with Sam and NK on the first of september and its been pretty groovy. Cool job, bad canteen food though. ha! BUT we have our secret stash. I swear Im gonna sublimate due to overdose of heavy junk food.
We're in the radio department, doing more advertising and stuff. Thus we are now working on Today paper vids and couple of TVCs to compile for some schmool event happening mid september. Awesome stuff. Now its a routine for us to pop by the various radio stations every afternoon to stop and stare. HAHA. Tried to break into the TV department yesterday but didnt quite work out cos we failed to navigate properly. HAHA. So damn. NK and I were slightly late on our first day though, due to our failure time estimation. ha! Thus we took a cab up the HILL. Gosh. Farney. Our supervisor is super fun and bought us cool jap lunch on our first day. haha! Excellent.
Spent the next few days traveling around the business district trying to get footage for our Today paper video. haha! Was frustrating at first, but then we got in the game and scouted around non stop for people to be featured in our vid. Cool. Was super exhausted after that. Headed back again the next two days to collect more footage and ended up using bryan as our somewhat spokesperson! hahahaha! We couldn't find anyone in the public willing to do that for us.
We have like super cool colleagues working with us, Eve and WeiShan, who never fail to be entertained by our eccentricities. ha. And I unintentionally insulted a woman in the toilet. And we got confused when we were told to search for a dude intern with a BACON shirt. HAHAHAHA. Don't ask.

Of course, I was there to receive my awesome gifts from my dear munchkins ( haha) and caught up with our 4/6ers and others which included Anne, Clarissa, Dode, Jo, both Cheongs, Chand, Pasu and Din. hha. Was pretty awesome I must say. The staffroom got raided and I was just hang chilling outside with my homies, waiting for the tonnes of super cool pressies to pile up on my desk then headed in to collect them in a box. haha! I adore every one of them(:

So since it was Friday, and my last day at work, i decided to go hang chill with Bryan in the evening and we caught wall E! It was a cute movie, with tonnes of machines and fat people. haha! Wiped out a box of popcorn and some chickenthings. Then proceeded to purchase our cool scrapbook at artfriend! like yay. Wondered around town ( which is getting really boring haha) then settled in Coffee Bean to chill for a second. Then we proceeded to move towards some macs along the street for orange juice HAH and I bumped into Vincent! Funny. Popped by the CD shop and got my laces tied together in entanglement by Bryan, who secretly doesnt know how to tie laces hahaha! Headed to Goodwood hotel for air con and clean toilets. Hung chill on top of this tiny hill and attempted to scare innocent drivers. HAHA.
Bounced back at 11 ish.

So Saturday came and I swore not to go out, to hibernate and rejuvenate before my new job. haha! IT OBVIOUSLY FAILED. I ended up making plans to meet Kev Gabe and Dinesh for Baybeats. It was 8pm. HAHA. I headed out. Then found out that Din, Pasu, Pao and Chris were there too! Thus I decided to pop by and see em for a sec. THEN! Bryan spontaneously popped by after his dinner! haha. So I got there at nine, waited for him in the basement, called Kev but it was too crowded to navigate for em; Pasu ended up coming to collect us from amongst the crowd watching Electrico. haha! Hung around for a while with some emo people bobbing to the music around us, then looked for the rest of em when Electrico was done. Wasnt too bad! It got really eerky and crowded, so Bryan and I decided to go for Bucks in Holland V. Elevenish came quickly and thus we hopped back into his automobile and he dropped me off back at the Esplanade to meet my folks. haha. Got super bored while waiting for the last band to finish their gig thus I sat around on the floor with Eugene and Josh and waited for my folks.

That was how the weekend went by. haha. Work began. Early mornings once more! Tuesday was spent filming with Sam and NK and cursing at those who refused to be filming. aha. Then me bouncing over after work to hang chill at Clarke Quay with Bryan. Popped by Gloria Jeans to grab some awesome cupcakes then trained to Clarke. It started to rain! Thus we had early Spud dinner at this schmool place by the river. Thank god the pink umbrella didnt have to make its debut appearance. aaha!
Kept walking till we got to Chinatown, then bounced to this cool tea shop somewhere up in Ang Siang hill or something, which is actually a really awesome place to hang. Besides the sudden bursts of Britney and boyband music. HAHAHAHAH! I had chamomile tea and he had some strange orange infusion thing. ha! It was fab. Bounced back!

So yes. We ended up having to use Bryan for our Today vid! haha. Sam, NK and i cabbed down to raffles just before lunch to meet him and get our footage over and done with. Worked out quite well. Walked from Raffles to Suntec to Millenia to everywhere, then cabbing down to Bugis for more interesting backdrops. ha!

Oh yeah. THEN. After Sam and NK left for home, we hung around for dinner. Subway! In the depressing old Shaw building. HAHA. It seriously sucks the life out of you I swear. THEN. We stepped out. AND. it started to pour. Like really heavily. And. We. Uh. Impulsively STEPPED OUT. To get back to the train station. WE GOT TOTALLY SOAKED. haha! But it was great fun. Strolled into the mall dripping wet to the bone and casually walked into Muji and bought a towel. HA. Changed into one of the spare shirts he had and he bought one more from topman to replace the super soaked one he had on. like HAHA. Bounced back!

Work again on thursday followed by unplanned Sassy girl with bryan at J8 when I knocked off! Then came Friday but everyone was slightly wonky and it was really, pure fun. HAHA. We pretended to be supersuper busy, walking around the building, looking for something random to do, sitting under a tree, going into the foul smelling library ( which is like ancient I swear) then stuffing ourselves with more food and laughing non stop over the bacon shirt. Heres what happened.
Joni: Girls, could you help me look outside for an intern whos gonna drop something off for me? His supervisor says he's wearing a bacon shirt.
Us: Wth is a bacon shirt!! but KAY. - walks outside-
Me: " I see a dude!"
- we stare in confusion at his shirt, which didnt look very bacon ish.
He approaches us.
Us: " How is that a bacon shirt? Its a jersey."
Him: HUH? ( in chinese) She meh shi Bacon Shirt?
We: HUH? Wo men bu zhi dao?
- Ponders-
Him: OH. Shi bu shi BECKHAM?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
we died. like really. With Joni dying of laughter in the background. HAHA.
So the we knocked off and I proceeded to meet Dode so we could bounce by Suntec to meet Bee, who's now working in Fox. And to see her tongue piercing. grroossss but cool. hahahaha! It was funny. We were just standing around having a conversation, then she just ran off suddenly to get some clothes for this customer. Nearly got her fired. HAHA. So then Dode and i walked over to Millenia to get good frozen yogurt ( and I bought Bee a box of Nerds cos she needed some food haha) then I decided to get back early to crash while Dode went off for her all nighter study attempt at the airport. ha.
And now im here, stuffed with tiramisu ice cream and feeling totally unproductive. GOOD JOB SONIA. haha. And did I mention I miss them munchkins? WELL I KINDA DO! haha.
