So after two weeks of studying about the famous Cold War, I have come to realize that my understanding of it is a bare minimum, no denying it. The cold war frustrates me, and causes my ever strange mind to think that this catastrophe occured soley due to those attention seeking war mongers ( although it was'nt a banquet of bloody knives), just wanted a portion of that limelight- a sad attempt to get noted into all the history textbooks of all those poor students who all don glasses ( and they are only called glasses to allow a more refined and cultured feel to it when they are really just very fashionable magnifying glasses) which they unfortunately achieved. For what thou might question? FAME.

It sadly is still prominent in this day and age.

First, people just wanted to be filthy rich. Then they wanted to be powerful, until mankind realized attaining power then maintaining it required a heck lot of work. Plus, there were no guarantees millions would know your name. Many rich , powerful individuals pull strings behind the scenes. We don't know who they are. But today, today all everybody wants is fame. fame elivers money and power if you play al the angles, plus the added bonus of recognition. When you are famous, everyone wants to know what you ate for breakfast, where you went on Sunday, what you ate for desert , what your pyjamas look like... everyone wants to follow you. then your friendly neighbourhood market uncle becomes the next Donald Trump cos he has begun franchising ice kachang all over the world. its bad.

But yet COOL.

You can manufacture social nicety, but you cannot dictate physiology.

SO. We're almost there, its almost the end of the week and THANK GOODNESS cos this years camp corri has probably been the most physically demanding and mentally draining one EVER. Don't get me wrong, we did'nt have to climb a mountain or wash the toilets like last year. In fact, it was held at the massive Temasek Poly which turned out to be e DAY CAMP . We thought it would be fun. But yet again, that was what we thought and WE WERE WRONG.

First day, I bumped into the jocks and mel at tamp befor heading to tp and we had breakfast at macs. The jocks then proceeded to reveal the kinda cute class t shirt which really stood out amongst the other classses who all wore the awful awful awful camp shirt which beheld two letters. I S. I mean, wth is that supposed to mean? Rae thought it meant I suck but that's what she THOUGHT and she could be right bout herself for once! Aha:) But anyways, we had the usual breaking of ice, bonding and yada yada... cheerleading competition was probably the highlight of the day cos we won 2nd place which is pretty damn good ( Ethel and Mich you guys are awesome!) And Bi, ethel, mich, clarissa, me, sonia p, rj and weelyn had to go up with like pom poms and stuff which was really funny and get this: ALL of us forgot the cheer when we got up there. HA! Oh the good times.

Second day was danging boring. It was a trip to the malls for we were actually on a business and entrpreneurship camp. Just asked questions and we headed back to tp then abi mel abu and i headed to tamp mall for dinner at sakae sushi. Went home.

Final day. Preparations for our push cart to be set up in school for valentine's day. Our class did an AWESOME job! Abu and I had to go present for the judges and I hop we won. But that was it for the day and Bi mel and i decided to head for Starbucks. Took a bus. According to mel, sonia p had said that 8 would get us there but NO! We were on the bus for about ten minutes then mel and I got puzzled: why were we in Eunos? AHH! wrong bus. We got off. Laughed. Then crossed the road to take the bus back. We got engaged in a heated conversation with the bus driver cos Bi and I forgot to bring our card and he forced us to pay like $1.30 each! Why? Cos he said we could'nt prove we were students cos we were too tall to look like one ( I mean, look at me!) and furthermore, we could'nt prove we were citizens of this country. WHAT?? So we stated that for goodness sakes, we were in school uniform and no other bus driver ever said that we couldn't pay 55 cent by coins. HE JUST WOULDN'T STOP TALKING AND YELLING AT US. I know I sound like a whiney bitch but Gosh, spare me.

Got a sore throat and lost my voice at around 2am this morning, regained it after some water and now I sound like a man. Dang it. Ha!

What we need is not a scandal. Just notoriety.

Flames to dust,
Lovers turn friends,
Why do all good things come to an end?

Sunday, start of a new week. I do realize from the past week that our course of life can take a sharp turn around the bend in a matter of days or even minutes and this all hactually happens without us knowing or feeling it. Last year was somewhat of a fab year with countless laughter, joy, and acheivements bundled together with sacrifices, tears, hurt and pain. It's extremely cliched to say no pain no gain but it is sadly, true. I now recall the night where Bi and I sat barefoot on the grass at the Esplanade with a bottle of shandy just reminissing on all the happenings, both happy and sad of 2006. How we drifted from those we said" bestest friends forvever" to and how we grew closer to others and the moment when I realized that I don't give a crap to those who conviently walked away in search for a more exciting and thrilling life and how she too decided to develop this attitude. Our top twenty memories? all here.

- Unexpectadly getting into the school debate team in Jan!
- Winning that debate against Aussie International Sch
- Both of us constatntly getting sent out to stand next to the plants by our chinese teacher
- How we were engaged in a battle with that chinese teacher and how she won. HA!
- My wonderful experience with confi class people like Cheryl, Simone, Christel, Elaine, Allison, Kim, Sean, Julian, Nic, Chris, Aloysius, Olivia, Michelle, Joel, Gladys and many many more.
- How both of us got through strange matters of the heart
- She telling me that in Pri 2, I looked like a mouse, moose, and deer. WOW.
- Debate camp '06, finals at club Momo, had a play where I was starring in a odd comedy of Romeo and Juliet
- Won best speaker!
- How we laughed and died in school
- Us developing a certain resentment towards the jocks in our class. Ha!
- Copying off cheong during chinese then doing vetter than her in exams! Oh dang it was hilarious.
- Halloween! We scared the crap out of all innocent residents around us.
- Studying at changi airport coffee bean every other day before exams! only to realize starbucks was round the corner.
- Being accused of colour coordinating on wear as you like day by mel
- Miss Sam! our dearest debat tranier
- Louisa and I, the good times shared which are gradually becoming non existent now
- Bi and Rae, her saying their friendship was never deep
-The sorrows which we managed to get through
- m,e going for a leadership camp with melody where we met the funniest people alive- Patrick, Tawan, Ken, Sherwyn, Justin, Desiree, and many more.

The list would continue if I wanted to but I guess not. 2007 has already enveloped us and its just too heavy to carry so many memories with me.

This is something a dear friend of mine passed on to me.

Around a corner I have a friend.
In this great city which has no end.
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
and before I know it, a year is gone.
I never see my old friend's face, for life is a swift terrible race.
She knows I care for her just as well,
as in the days when I rang her bell.
And she sang mine.
We were younger then.
But now we're busy, tired.
Tired of playing a foolish game, tired of trying to make a name.
But tomorrow comes and goes,
and the distance between us grows.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

And it rains once more. Poor sec threes, apparently the annual malaysia camp corri is cancelled due to excessive flooding. Aha. and here I am, just being danging bored cos I shall be inevitably confined to the four walls of my really disgustingly messy room which disgustingly disgusts me. 'tis strange.

Nevertheless, this week has been a rather odd one. I just realized that the school pe shorts have been changed and they're so very weird and ugly that I refuse to elaborate on them. No flippin way am I ever gonna get those on. Ha! We got our class photograph taken yesterday and I was just afraid that I might look highly odd for the fun pic. Ha! Bi wore this huge gold hairband that probably diverts all attention and we all basically spent ten minutes in the bathroom helping each other fix their hair and this and that. 40 chatty girls in ONE bathroom. HA!
Dode then posed as a poseur Nazi, together with the signature Hitler hand gesture, ( I mean, It's DODE! Full package la.) which is apparently banned in singapore but... whatchagonna do. Ha! Awesome stuff.

So I'm now currently seated next to Bi in class and am constantly going nuts with all that amusing senseless talk. HA! Fighting over things like the colour of my sharperner and why my voice breaks when i ingest chocolate. I TOLD YOU I AM A MAN. Whatyougonnadoboutthat HUH. aha.... oh. :)

I won't live for you but..
I'll live with you.

Feels good to be back la. Ha! I think I died momentarily while a million things were going on. Thus... MAJOR UPDATE.

28th dec: MY SPECIAL DAY. had to go to school though but I was pleasantly surprised when my fabulous gorgeousfriends sprung a birthday surprise on me. HA! I was being annoyed cos everyone was making so much noise and Melody and I were desparately trying to get stuff in order as usual. BUT THAT FOOL. She was the mastermind of it all. In the midst of the silence, the back door BURST, SPRANG and BANGED open AND...
Xiaoqi, Mich, Flora and cass collapsed in with a birthday cake, candles and all and began yelling the birthday song. Oh dear I couldn't stop laughing! And get this: melody kept quiet and PRETENDED that nohing was going on THE WHOLE TIME. ha! Damn it was hilariously sweet:) Loveyouall. I then headed home and got changed to go for late lunch with Zee zee. Headed to swensens in marina and had our traditional BAKED RICE. We did catch up for a bit. had fun! but had to leave though, parents came along. They brought me to raffles were it was revealed that I was going for dinner with Angie! So since we were so formally adorned, dress and all, I suggested we head to the swissotel for dinner. Was FANTASTIC. But then I had no $ no more. HA! On our way out, we got mistaken for the prom hat was going on in the hotel and it was rather funny. Aha... oh. headed to CHIJMES for dessert of somesort. Bought stuff, had fun, LOADS OF IT, walked to esplanade where my folks got us home. Dang, it was exhausting. had truckloads of fun girl:)

29th dec: Chalet @ Downtown east.

So a whole bunch of us from cca went for the annual graduation bbq cum chalet for the seniors and Trish, Cat, Jia lin and I made SUSHI! twas cool. We got there, exhausted ourselves by screaming and yelling at Escape, ( people were rather embarassed to be unfortunately associated with us) then headed back for food. And... BUMPED INTO JUSTIN AND SHERWYN. It was so funny I never got over it. turned out that HCI was also having some chalet. They thus kindly gave us 12 cans of coke and in return of their kindness, and also in our pursuit to rid of excess food, Mel an I gave them...

ONE raw corn.

HA! Oh.

And this all happened while Abi's birthday bbq was going on and I was subjected to missing all of that. Ah well, whatchagonnado.

30th dec: Abi's birthday

Oh. Er. Happy birthday! aha.

31st dec: Countdown party @ marina bay

Met Abi at her place. Then headed to esplanaed. On the way there, she suggested that we get light alchohol for the countdown. Thus, I was once again subjected to an attempt of passing the counter with several bottles of crap. Got past successfully then headed to the most boring party ever. Ha! IT RAINED. so after the fire works and all that jazz, we finally got past the throng of like what, thousands of people to arrive at the station only to hear this lady screaming: " Last train in five mins ah!" and get this.

Abi and I were like hundreds of metres away from the train it self. it was 1:30am. she called her mom. arrived at 2:30am. we were DEAD by the time we got in the car and thus I stayed over at her place. This was followed by us washing up and watching this strange documaentary about a singer called Marky mark and his strange fascination of him having three nipples. holy shit.

Woke up the next morning, tried to do chem with her but didn't work out.

We're good.

this has been too long a post. will continue soon. HA!

It gets so complicated
all the things you gotta be,
everythigs changing,
But you're the truth,
I'm amazed by all your patiece
all the things I put you through...
- save me from myself
