So last night nine of us headed to the DBS arts centre somewhere around Clarke quay to catch Macbeth by the Stage Club and.. I wouldn't say it was fantastic, it was just average. On our way there however, there was a unfortunate shoe malfunction as Pao broke her shoe while attempting to find a bin for the ice cream cup! which was not hers. Ha! so when she called to break the news to us, Abi and I started running towards the escalator while abi was yelling, " Pao we're coming to save you!" and we ended up standing around waiting for her mom who was going to bring along another pair of shoes as she was around the vicinity. SO. The audience comprised of mainly students; most of which were just TOO annoying. Laughing at most inappropriately at the most solemn scenes like the murder of young Duff and the murder of young Siward. AND they seemed to find the dude who played Malcom SOOOOOOO good looking that that during the Q&A, one of them shouted out
" CAN I MARRY YOU??!"
and another yelled
" WHY IS HE SO CUTE??!!"
I feel so sorry for them. Their desperation has reached its peak that the mere sight of a male individual has driven them into undeniable hysteria.
And then there was Ethel and Maxine. ha! Not understanding anything that was going on due to geography being their forte, they concluded that Macbeth murdered Duncan out of jealousy and that they could feel the wind coming from the stage which signalled an approaching hurricane. HA! There was one thing that got them excited though. The one scene where the witches brewed their evil concoction to fool Macbeth, this like.. ROCK came rolling out. Hilariously, it was the CAULDRON, which seemed to have some from of mechanism within which spat white fumes out every few seconds. too funny.
Following the play, Abi, pao and I split from the group of nine and we hitched a ride from Abi's mom back to tamp at about... 10:30pm for food at starbucks. Had food and coffee and left at about... eleven-ish. Was beat.
AND.
Now I'm off to do Chinese. DARN.
Noughts all spent, where our desire is got without content.
'Tis safer to be that which we destroy,
than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy.

SO. Strange weekend.Overdose of chocolate ( EXCESSIVE overdose), has left me in quite a dazed state. That explains that then. Already LONGING for the chinese O's to be over and done with for I am really searching for time to unwind. Well, at least there's Macbeth to look forward to this thursday; nine of us are going and the semi formal dress code has left us pretty much heading NOWHERE deciding what to wear. English and Literature results coming back tomorrow. That's just um uh hmm....
great?
yeah SURE.
Maybe who we are isn't do much about what we do,
But rather what we're capable of when we least expect it.

Maybe there are entire worlds where there are no fences, where feeling bears you like a tide. Isn't that ideal?
Think about it.
A little fire is being trodden out;
which, being suffered,
Rivers cannot quench.

I will never ever understand what the shit am I looking for. Maybe it's nothing. But then again I'm shoving so many excuses in my face and everything's falling apart since the exams ended. Maybe it was all that studying that distracted all the bullshit that was happening. But if you ask me what was that rubbish that made and is still making me gocrazy...
I don't know.
Everybody is just trying harder and harder to get up a notch on that totempole and that unbriddled competitiveness is just having a HUGE negative effect on EVRYBODY. Its so thick in the air that no one has to say anything to feel suffocated. And then there are those who just irk the hell out of us- or maybe just me. I worry about this and I worry about that but eventually, I can't grab what's worrying me by the neck and face it. Why so though? Maybe its because there's nothing to keep me occupied anymore and that's just killing me. It just does.
Yet from those flames,
No light, but rather darkness visible.

A Midsummer night's dream was awesomely awsome and the before and aftermath were incredibly hilarious! So Abi bought Starbucks before she met me and after taking a while to set up nicely, ( we're not very picnic-savvy you see) she placed her coffee at the edge of the mat and after 5 minutes or so, this was what I heard.
" Um uh... Sonia? "
" What Abi. "
" THERE'S COFFEE ALL OVER THE MAT!!"
"WHAT!!"
"And all over me!"
" Ok."
This was followed by huge bouts of laughter and well... you know how its like when I laugh. With Abi... its like combining FORCES and so fellow picnic goers began staring at us.
No surprise.
However, the ordeal did not end. Here is the list of things that the mat had to unfortunately dela with. And which I had to eventually WASH.
-Coffee
-Soup
-Coke
-Carlsberg
-Strawberry candle wax
-Various things which fell and which we probably conveniently brushed away.
Check this out.
Us before the show. Notice something metal and SHINY missing?
Our spread! Lots of food... Twas GREAT.
And then... we discovered Abi's talent at DEFYING GRAVITY.
Us staring with much uncertainty at the chicken, unsure of its edibility Very VERY artistic Abi!
The PRETTY sunset before the play began. Don't ask about the green balls.
Really random photo. But tis COOL.
And we ended the evening with....
THIS. :P
So that put an end to the exams and although I didn't have a very good weekend, all was fun and fine in the end. Got my retainers and now i'll spend another year with something plastic shoved up my mouth! That's great:)
Who ever loved, that loved not at first sight? And so I pain.
